The Andhra Pradesh government on Friday said it would ask the Central Bureau of Investigation to probe the sabotage angle in the death of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in a chopper crash in the wake of conspiracy theories surfacing over the incident.
In the midst of political heat over Congress Member of Parliament Jagan's controversial yatra, two persons from Andhra Pradesh have sought registration of a political party named after his late father and former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Stressing a coordinated mechanism between the central agencies and departments like Securities and Exchange Board of India and the Serious Fraud Investigation Office, the Andhra Pradesh chief minister said the scope of probe underway by the state government included Satyam's connection with the Maytas firms.
Police also pressed into service Jammers to avoid any untoward incident.
Andhra Pradesh had not so far approached Tamil Nadu with any proposal and has not furnished any information on the project as required.
The Andhra Pradesh government has stressed that all the mandatory maintenance work and checks were carried out on the Bell-430 helicopter before it took off for its last journey on September 2 and crashed killing the state Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and four others.
"By triangulation, we have located the area which is about 5-km radius circle and it has been identified based on the last contact with the air traffic control," Chavan, Union minister of state in the Prime Minister's Office, told reporters
Reliance Industries Ltd on Friday rejected as "false" and "malicious" a news report on some Telugu TV channels alleging it may have had a hand in the helicopter crash that killed former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

It is turning out to be a clear case of playing dirty politics over the dead in Andhra Pradesh in general and Telangana in particular.
As the situation was limping back to normalcy in Andhra Pradesh a day after unprecedented violence and attacks on the offices and retail outlets of both the rival Reliance groups, the state government booked a criminal case against a Telugu news channel TV5 for carrying an unverified report linking the names of Mukesh and Anil Ambani to the alleged foul play behind the death of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in a helicopter crash in September last year.
"There are other factors as well that led to the crash which we have explained in our report. But there was no failure of the helicopter (Bell-430) engine. Similarly, the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) contained no clues about the alleged conspiracy theory in the crash," committee members H S Khola and M R Reddy told newpersons.
The Crime Investigation Department of the Andhra Pradesh police has launched its own probe into the death of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and four others, who were killed when the Bell-430 helicopter they were travelling in crashed at Nallamalla forest in Kurnool district on Thursday.The CID will try to find out the answers to a host of questions ranging from why an old helicopter with a history of snags was chosen for the chief minister when a new one was available.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said on Wednesday he was not aware of the details of the Satyam Computer financial fraud, and would take appropriate action after studying the case. Reddy was in New Delhi for a meeting with Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia.

After being summoned, the minister appeared before the agency which questioned him regarding the Government Orders (GOs) issued during 2004-09 by the Irrigation Department, when he was the major Irrigation minister in the cabinet of late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, on supply of water to manufacturing plants of some cement firms. These firms allegedly made investments in Jagan's businesses.
Reddy alone will take oath on Thursday while his Council of Ministers is likely to be constituted on June 7, party sources said.
